GEMS FOR A SUSTAINABLE WORLD - 7TH JUNE

Join SLC and Crystal Clear founder Jill Urwin in conversation with friend and colleague Brian Cook of Natures Geometry.

Brian is owner of the Pyramid Mine in Bahia, Brazil, and has worked with artisanal mining communities since his days as a geology student in the early 1980s. With a passion for people, planet and the the beauty of gemstones in equal measure, Brian became a long-time advocate for sustainable development and began his mission to improve the mining sector.

He designed an 'ideal' mining model that considered factors such as health and safety, regenerative agriculture, organic farming, adding new skills at source with lapidary and bead-making training.

With Jill's help, Crystal Clear became the first partner to help to put the wheels in motion and fund the first part of the initiative. You can also purchase the rough golden rutile points and clusters from this community here at SLC.

Now, for the first time ever, we're giving you the opportunity to buy jewellery grade stones direct from Brian. He has just returned from Brazil and will have high grade cut and polished golden rutile stones of all shapes and sizes, emeralds - both rough and cut/polished, and super rare Paraiba tourmaline stones from the original Paraiba mine.  Jewelers—bring your trading information to take advantage of wholesale prices.

If you care about ethical gemstones and making a differnce in the industry, then this is an evening not to be missed.
