DO-OM YOGA

Sunday 29th November
6PM - 7.30PM

Gather in the wake of November’s full moon for a visceral journey through sound, vibration and silence with sound artist and meditation practitioner Kamellia Sara.

Rooted in Nada Yoga, the yoga of sound, DOOMYOGA explores sonic surrender: moving beyond the thinking mind and giving ourselves fully to the experience of listening.

We begin with breath awareness, gentle movement and seated meditation, accompanied by DOOMYOGA’s signature ambient, electronic and doom soundscapes. Lying back, we enter an immersive field of crystal singing bowls and gongs, moving between delicate resonance and powerful, all-encompassing crescendos.

Here, sound becomes the meditation itself. Shifting frequencies and rich overtones invite us to loosen our grip on thought, tune into sensation and discover the stillness that can emerge through intensity.

A gathering for deep rest, reflection and release, ending in silence as the final vibrations fade.

ABOUT KAMELLIA SARA

Kamellia Sara is an Egyptian-Irish interdisciplinary artist and founder of Doomyoga. Her work moves between composition, performance and installation, exploring sound as a physical, spatial and collective experience.

For over a decade, Kamellia has developed a distinct approach to experiencing music through the body, pioneering the intersection of underground music, yogic practice and deep listening before their convergence entered the cultural mainstream.

Her artistic practice is informed by a longstanding personal engagement with yoga, philosophy and the study of sound. She has trained extensively in traditional yogic practice, alongside gong and sound therapy, with Nada Yoga — the ancient practice of exploring consciousness through sound and listening — becoming a particular influence on her work.

Rather than treating these traditions as separate disciplines, Kamellia draws on this knowledge as part of a wider artistic language concerned with attention, perception, vibration and the relationship between sound and the body.
