This incredibly rare crystallised Colombian Mango Quartz was charged with sound inside the Great Pyramid of Giza. Also known as Halloysite Inclusion Quartz, this specimen was responsibly sourced by jewellery designer and founder of She's Lost Control, Jill Urwin. Found in Cabiche, Quipama Boyaca.
Jill hand selects all her stones for their beauty, energy and journey. They are then handmade into jewellery with love and intention in Jill's East London workshop. This piece is sustainably produced in a recycled sterling silver and completed with a sterling silver curb chain.
Story
This rare quartz is only found near the mountains in the heart of the Colombian Emerald district, Cabiche, Quipama Boyaca. Our mining community works with the local pastor to ensure that these special crystals are fairly traded and artisanally mined from source.
Halloysite is the rare mineral ore that gives the quartz the juicy yellow colour. It is also known as Corona quartz due to the fibres of Halloysite creating the multi strand or 'nano tube' terminations seen in some of the clusters.
